FAQs

Why are the Teacher Pack and Child Pack sold separately?

The Experience Baby Teacher Pack and Child Packs are sold separately to provide maximum flexibility for your program. Since many providers already track daily routines digitally via brightwheel or through their own paper-based methods, this modular approach allows you to invest only in the resources your classroom needs

Why are there only 3 days of Shared Experience cards instead of 5?

The Experience Baby curriculum intentionally provides three days of Shared Experience cards to allow for maximum flexibility and responsive caregiving.

This structure is designed to help you follow each child's unique lead:

  • Responsive Planning: If a child shows high engagement or a deep interest in a specific activity, you are encouraged to repeat that experience later in the week to reinforce learning.

  • Adaptability: If an experience didn't resonate as expected, you have the space to try a different approach or revisit it when the child is more ready.

  • Simple Scheduling: You can use the blank spaces on your Planning Calendar for Thursday and Friday to intentionally schedule these repeat performances or customized activities.

By focusing on three core experiences, the curriculum ensures you have the time to observe, document, and tailor the learning environment to the infants in your care.

How does Experience Baby track infant development?

Instead of academic drills, the Experience Baby Curriculum focuses on the "heart" of infant development: responsive care and emotional security. We trade letters and numbers for relationship-based play and intentional routines that foster trust. This approach allows babies to engage with the world at their own pace, ensuring that every milestone is reached through a natural process of discovery rather than forced instruction.

Programs looking to monitor developmental milestones can utilize the dedicated assessment tools available within the Member Resources section.

Where do I find the suggested books?

While there are 4 recommended books per month, your kit already comes with two board books. The yearly suggested book list indicates which recommendations are included.

💡The other two books are not required. You can easily substitute them with titles from your own collection or use these cost-saving alternatives:

  • Check the Library: Take your monthly list to your local library and borrow the suggested titles.

  • Watch Online: Many of the recommended books have great read-aloud videos on YouTube.

You can find the full list of titles in the Support Resources section whenever you need it.
